Here he is, the Eighth of the Seven Gods...
Like that tongue action? haha
How to Pay Respect at Shinto Shrines 1. In appropriate dress, you proceed along the path through the Torii Gate. At Temizusha (the fountain for absolutions), you rinse your hands and mouth using water from the stone basin. You should not touch the dipper with your lips directly. 2. Then you proceed to the Main Shrine building. You may throw some coins into the Offering Box if you wish. 3. In front of the Main Shrine, you bow twice. 4. Then you clap your hands twice. 5. Finally, you bow once again.

Have a fabulous time at the Sanja Matsuri today! Watch out for those tatooed guys... It's Samantha's 11th birthday today so we are off for rock climbing later today.
Love the blog! Love the mouse house. Can the kids and I come visit this summer? (hahahaha!) Do you at least have indoor and private plumbing? Another friend of mine lived there about 10 years ago and she had her infant with her. She said their walls were paper thin, but it was a wonderful place to experience.
